Description 
Short paths lead from Northern Rail Trail to picnic tables (built by Eagle Scout Ben Stebbins) to impressive riverside historic site (cleared by Eagle Scout Robert Hirai). Connector trail leads downhill to Northern Rail Trail. 

Parking 
Parking is available on Mill Road just West of the U.S. 4A junction. Please do not block road.

Highlights 
Bridge abutments and remnants of a slate mill, then Emerson Edge Tool Company (one of 19th century East Lebanon's thriving water powered industries), finally a bobbin mill. Parcel donated by Bart Miller in 2003. Observe Mascoma River on loop hike combining Rail Trail, connector trail, and Mill Road (which becomes Class A recreational trail at gate 200 yards West of U.S. 4.)
