Property Description

The Mill Property comprises 4.2 acres with a historic mill site.

History

The property was transferred to the City in 2002 as part of a wetland mitigation project occurring at the Lebanon Airport, with a permanent protection easement held by the Upper Valley Land Trust placed on the property as part of the project. The historic use of this property, which includes assorted mill uses is well documented in the 2006 Archeological Assessment report.

Features & Access

The bridge abutments and remnants of the former mills are visible today.  There is a short path that leads from the Northern Rail Trail to picnic tables (built by Eagle Scout Ben Stebbins) and continuing on to the impressive riverside historic site (cleared by Eagle Scout Robert Hirai). Access to the property is available from either end of Mill Road.
