Hazardous Waste Collection

A Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day will be held at Lebanon High School on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 9 a.m. – Noon. 

Please note the changed venue for this event. The location was moved to Lebanon High School to better accommodate the large turnout. Please view complete details for additional information about items being accepted during this event.

Party Affiliation Change Deadline

The deadline for voters to change party affiliation prior to the September 11, 2018 State Primary will be Tuesday, June 5, 2018. Changes to party affiliation can be made with the City Clerk's Office Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. There will also be a Supervisor of the Voter Checklist Session on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at City Hall from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm.  Please view complete details for more information and to find out how to check your current status.

Beware of Bears

With the arrival of spring, bears have emerged from hibernation and we have received reports of bear activity in West Lebanon. Bears may be in other neighborhoods as well. Please use caution and do not approach a bear to take pictures.

Boat Registrations Now Available

The City Clerk's Office is pleased to announce that they are now boat agents for the State of New Hampshire. They can process registration renewals and new boat registrations during regular business hours. To renew, please bring your renewal notice or previous registration as well as your photo ID.

Curb the Car Day

On May 18, the rest of the country is celebrating National Bike to Work Day, but here in the Upper Valley, we’re taking it a step further with Curb The Car Day. So, bike or walk if that’s for you. Or take the bus, vanpool, or carpool. Or even skateboard or kayak. From 7:00am-8:30am in front of City Hall, join members of the City’s Pedestrian and Bicyclist Advisory Committee (PBAC) for breakfast treats, camaraderie, and information about multimodal options in Lebanon!

Lucky's Receives Preservation Award 

At a ceremony in Concord, NH, on May 8, 2018, Lucky’s Coffee Garage was awarded a 2018 Preservation Achievement Award by the NH Preservation Alliance for high-quality re-use of a former garage in a downtown historic district. Lucky's is part of the City's Colburn Park Historic District.

K-9 Awareness Day 

The 11th Annual Police K9 Awareness Day will be Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 10:00am to 2:00pm at West Lebanon Feed & Supply. In addition to live K9 demonstrations, there will be food, games, prize giveaways, photos with a Police K9, opportunities to support our local K9 law enforcement program, and fun for the entire family! The City Clerk's Office will also announce the winner of their annual Top Dog Contest at noon!

Dog License Reminder

As a reminder, dog licenses were due as of April 30, 2018. If you received a courtesy reminder notice in May, this indicates that your dog was not licensed in April. As long as your dog is licensed by May 31, 2018, you will not pay additional fines and late fees. Please remember, the Clerk's office cannot issue licenses for dogs with expired rabies vaccinations. It is important to know that beginning on June 1st, each dog which remains unlicensed will be assessed additional fees, in addition to the standard licensing fees. 

Request for Information for Electric Projects

The City of Lebanon, through the Lebanon Energy Advisory Committee, seeks a show of interest and information from potential vendors to provide services to support three related projects: 1) Smart LED Street Lighting Conversion, 2) Interval Metering for the City’s Electric Pilot Program (in collaboration with Liberty Utilities), and 3) Services to Support Lebanon Community Power, a proposed municipal aggregation program.

British Challenger Soccer Camp #1 Jersey Deadline - Friday, May 11th; A fun co-ed soccer program for ages 3-14 that focuses on teaching key techniques and developing the whole child. Spring Hiking (All Ages) – Friday, May 11th, 18th & 25th 10 am to Noon, APD Trails; Join us on Fridays for hiking on the APD Nature Trails. Bring snacks, water bottle, backpack and hiking boots. Trail may be wet and muddy. Call 603-448-5121 to register.

Tuesday’s Rail Trail Stroll – Tuesday, May 15th 9:30 am to 10:30 am, Northern Rail Trail; Get outside with your tots in tow, or in a stroller and come join Lebanon Recreation on the Northern Rail Trail. Bring your little ones in a stroller, carrier, or if they want to walk and let’s explore together. Call 603-448-5121 to register.

National Ride of Silence – Wednesday, May 16th 6:30 pm, Lebanon Mall; A community ride to raise awareness of cyclists, rights to public roadways while remembering fellow riders that have been injured or killed. Learn more about this nationwide event at rideofsilence.org.

Lebanon Farmers’ Market – Thursday, May 17th 4 pm to 7 pm, Colburn Park; Enjoy wonderful selections of local fresh produce, plants, prepared foods, baked goods and handmade crafts. Please support our local farmers and vendors by shopping at the Lebanon Farmers’ Market! Live music each week!

Wallcrawlers – Monday, May 21st 2:35 pm to 5:30 pm; Grades 5-8, come climb with Leb Rec after school. This drop-in program is designed to pick up participants at LMS, travel to Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center, boulder and climb with belay. Pack snacks, water bottle, and good clothes to climb in. Build Your Own Picnic Table – Saturday, June 9th 9 am to 12 pm; Join Leb Rec and LaValley’s on a Saturday morning and build your own picnic table! Cost includes all material and tools to build a picnic table and plans and assistance on assembly. Local delivery available if needed. Register online at LebanonNH.gov/Register.

ARC Lifeguarding Certification – Monday, June 18th through Friday, June 22nd, Lebanon Memorial Pool; Become an American Red Cross lifeguard with this blended course, requiring 7.25 hours online and 20 hours in person. Provides entry-level participants the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies. Must be at least 15 years old by the last day of the class. Register online at LebanonNH.gov/Register.

Outdoor Adventures – For youth ages 12-17, join Lebanon Recreation for exciting trips & choose your adventure this summer: rock climbing, mountain biking, teen kayaking, outdoor laser tag, stand up paddle boarding, river tubing and hiking! Register online at LebanonNH.gov/Register.

Lebanon Food Truck Festival – Friday, June 22nd 5 pm to 9 pm; Your ticket includes entrance to the festival with access to purchase food at 11 food trucks and alcoholic beverages from Salt hill Pub, a ticket for a $3 sample at any food truck and live entertainment by Brooks Hubbard Band! Tickets for children ages 5 and under are free and do not include a free sample. Tickets are on sale at LebanonNH.gov/Register.
