Get Ready to Shuffle!

Do you see snow and/or rain out your window today? Don't worry - our crew are working hard to make sure the Shamrock Shuffle course is clear and safe to run! Gather up your green and get ready to rock the 17th Annual Shamrock Shuffle this Saturday, March 10th. The Shamrock Shuffle is a 1-mile fun run and 5K road race hosted by the Lebanon Recreation and Parks department that benefits our youth programs and parks. On Tuesday, March 6, 2018, the Lebanon Area Chamber of Commerce sponsored a Candidates Night for both Lebanon City Council and Lebanon School Board candidates at the Lebanon Opera House. If you were unable to attend, you can watch it now on CATV.

Absentee Ballots Now Available
Absentee Ballots for the March 13, 2018 Lebanon City and School Election are now available at the City Clerk's office during regular business hours. There is no early voting in New Hampshire, however, qualified voters can vote by absentee ballots.

Free Transportation to Polls for Seniors
The Upper Valley Senior Center located in Lebanon is offering transportation to Lebanon senior citizens and persons with disabilities to and from the polls on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 for the City and School Election.

Recreation & Parks Highlights

Lebanon Food Truck Festival – Applications due Friday, March 9th. Applications will be accepted based on festival needs (variety, appearance, cost). We will accept a minimum of 10 food truck vendors and will accept food truck vendors until the event is full. Applications can be found online at LebanonNH.gov/Recreation.

Shamrock Shuffle 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run – Saturday, March 10th 12 pm; The 17th Annual Shuffle! A benefit for youth programs and parks you’ll want to visit! Register online at Shamrock5k.com.

Spring Sports Registration Deadline – Monday, March 12th; Register online at LebanonNH.gov/Register for the following spring sports: 3rd-6th Grade Softball, 1st-8th Grade Lacrosse and Middle School Track and Field! Registration by March 12th receives a $5 discount.

St. Patrick’s Day at Indian Head Resort – Thursday, March 15th 9:30 am to 4:30 pm; Open to adults 21+! Get your green on. Fee includes transportation, lunch buffet, entertainment, photos, gift certificate to the gift shop, Indian Head mug, green beer and party beads! Call (603)448-5121 to register by Friday, March 9th.

Ski and Ride with The Point: Burke Mountain – Friday, March 16th 7 am to 6 pm; For ages 18+, take the day off from work, put in some turns and rip up the slopes at Burke! Register online at LebanonNH.gov/Register by March 13th.

Winter Farmers’ Market – Saturday, March 17th 11 am to 1:30 pm at LHS Cafeteria; Support our local vendors and enjoy a wonderful selection of winter produce and agricultural products, prepared foods, crafts and more!

Wallcrawlers – Monday, March 19th 2:35 pm to 5:30 pm; Grades 5-8, come climb with Leb Rec after school. This drop-in program is designed to pick up participants at LMS, travel to Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center, boulder and climb with belay. Register online at LebanonNH.gov/Register.

Spring Romp and Stomp – Thursdays, March 22nd through May 10th; For children ages 2-5, Join us for a mixture of movement exploration, finger play, music activities, parachute games and more! A great opportunity for group interaction and socialization. Register online at LebanonNH.gov/Register.

Downhill Ski/Snowboard Trip to Burke Mountain – Friday, March 23rd 9 am to 4:30 pm; Grades 5-8, Join Leb Rec for a ski and snowboard trip to Burke Mountain. Participants must provide their own equipment or rent at the ski area for an additional fee. Plan to bring money for lunch or pack your own. Register online at LebanonNH.gov/Register.

Intro to Belly Dancing – Saturday, March 24th 1:30 pm, CCBA Studio; Explore the ancient and mysterious art of belly dance in a free workshop designed for people with absolutely no experience. Come sway, shimmy and jingle with Gina Capossela as she teaches you basic beginner Belly Dance moves and creates an entire dance just for you. No special clothing required – anyone can do it!
