Effective July 1, 2019, the City is implementing a change to the current Water & Sewer Rate Structure.
On January 16, 2019, the City Council directed the City Manager to implement a new rate structure that includes a Base Charge by Meter Size, a Volumetric Tier for Single-Family Residential Properties, and removes the current Minimum Charge.
The rates approved by the Council effective January 1st will not change with the implementation of the new structure, however, the new structure will have an effect on the look of your bill, and depending on your normal usage, could reduce or increase the amount you pay.
You are encouraged to attend our upcoming Community Conversations to ask questions and better understand how this new structure will be implemented and how it could affect your bill. Meeting dates are planned as follows:
- Monday, April 29th – Community Conversation (Multi-Purpose Room, Mount Lebanon School, 5 White Avenue, West Lebanon – 6:00pm). City Staff and our consultant from Raftelis will be present to give a brief overview of the proposed changes and answer questions.
- Tuesday, April 30th – Community Conversation (Cafeteria, Lebanon Middle School, 3 Moulton Avenue, Lebanon – 6:00pm). City Staff and our consultant from Raftelis will be present to give a brief overview of the proposed changes and answer questions.
The City Council will be reviewing and acting on implementation on the following dates:
- Wednesday, May 1st – City Council Meeting (Cafeteria, Lebanon Middle School, 3 Moulton Avenue, Lebanon – 7:00pm). Ordinance to amend City Code Chapter 68, Fees, will be presented to the Council with a request to set a public hearing for May 15th.
- Wednesday, May 15th – City Council Meeting (Council Chambers, City Hall, 51 North Park Street, Lebanon – 7:00pm). Public Hearing to adopt Ordinance to amend City Code Chapter 68, Fees, to effectuate change in Rate Structure.
