On December 13, 2018, Lebanon Police Officers responded to Hannaford Supermarket for a report of a male shoplifter. It was reported that the male, who fled the store on foot, was later seen getting into a Ford pickup truck. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop. The vehicle failed to stop, and began driving recklessly on Route 12A, swerving in and out of traffic, running red lights, and struck another motor vehicle. The male turned onto I89 North and crossed into Vermont, where Lebanon Police terminated the vehicle pursuit. Information for the vehicle was passed along to Vermont agencies
Surveillance video from Hannaford identified the suspect as Andrew Lohmann, a 32-year-old male who resides in West Lebanon, NH. An arrest warrant was issued for Lohmann. On December 15th, Lohmann arrived at the Lebanon Police Department and turned himself in. Lohmann was charged with Theft by Unauthorized Taking, Disobeying an Officer, and Conduct After an Accident, all Class A Misdemeanors. He was also charged with Reckless Operation, a Violation. Lohmann was released on Personal Recognizance Bail with a Lebanon court date of February 11, 2019.
