Recently formed volunteer group Sustainable Lebanon has invited Lebanon's new Energy & Facilities Manager Tad Montgomery to describe exciting local energy initiatives such as Lebanon Community Power, the landfill gas-to-electricity project, and Liberty Utilities' household battery proposal.
Sustainable Lebanon will introduce its aim of supporting renewable energy and all things sustainable. It will describe its current endeavors, and provide an update on the fracked gas depot/pipeline proposed by Liberty Utilities for West Lebanon, Lebanon, and Hanover.
"Sustainable" is defined as a Guiding Principle in Lebanon's Master Plan as "Meeting current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs".
IDEAS ARE WELCOME!
This meeting will take place at Kilton Public Library on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 7:00-8:30 PM and will be repeated Friday, April 27th, same time and location.
