Fire in Building - 14 Lafayette Drive

April 4, 2018, Lebanon, NH: At 2252 hours the Lebanon Fire Department was dispatched to an automatic fire alarm at 14 Lafayette Street, the FitKids Childcare at the River Valley Club. Upon arrival a light smoke condition was visible from the middle section of the building.  The assignment was upgraded to a 1st Alarm bringing mutual aid from Hartford, Hanover, and Enfield. Upon entry to the unit personnel found a fire on a stove top that had been contained and extinguished by the automatic fire sprinkler system. There was no fire extension and no injuries. The unit was not occupied at the time of the fire. Personnel remained on scene evacuating smoke and overhauling the area until 0022 hours.

The cause of the fire was determined to a camera bag ignited by several burners that were found in the on position on an electric stove.
