On Saturday March 24, 2018, Lebanon police responded to Walmart for a report of a fight in the frozen food area of the store. Officers arrived and located a male suffering from a laceration from his head. Another male was being restrained by an off-duty Hartford Police officer assisted by other bystanders. A female was also identified as being involved in the incident. It was determined through investigation that the incident began over money that was owed between the two male parties. The males were identified as Calvin Molina, age 25, of Woodstock, VT, and Juan Marin, age 27, also of Woodstock, VT. Molina had come to Walmart to locate Marin and collect the money that was owed. During this time a fight broke out between Molina and Marin. During the incident a female identified as Yamaris Marin, age 20, of Woodstock, VT assaulted the off-duty officer who was attempting to break up the incident. Yamaris then interfered with Lebanon officers who were attempting to take Calvin Molina into custody.
Yamaris Marin was charged with two counts of Simple Assault, Class A Misdemeanors, and Disorderly Conduct, a Violation. She was released on personal recognizance bail and will appear at the Grafton County Superior Court on April 9, 2018. This arraignment will take place in Grafton County due to Marin being charged with an enhanced misdemeanor for assaulting a police officer.
Juan Marin was charged with Simple Assault, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Disorderly Conduct, a Violation. He was released on personal recognizance bail and will appear at the 2nd Circuit Lebanon District Court on May 14, 2018.
Calvin Molina was transported to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment of a laceration to his head. He was later released on a summons and will appear in the 2nd Circuit Lebanon District Court on May 14, 2018. He is charged with Simple Assault and Resisting Arrest or Detention, both Class A Misdemeanors. In addition, he is charged with Disorderly Conduct, a Violation.
