On January 29, 2018 at approximately 10:45AM, Lebanon Police Officer Emily Winslow initiated a traffic stop on Interstate 89 for a motor vehicle violation. A male passenger in the vehicle provided a false name to Officer Winslow and while checking the subject for possible arrest warrants, the passenger exited and fled on foot. The male crossed four lanes of traffic on I89, running on foot, in the direction of the Miracle Mile.
Officer Winslow pursued the suspect on foot, and he was ultimately taken into custody behind Tractor Supply Co. The male was identified as, Ernest Woods, age 49, of Boston MA. Woods was charged with Resisting Arrest, a Class A Misdemeanor. The operator of the vehicle was identified as, Tara Martins, age 35, of Woodsville NH. She was arrested for Driving After Revocation or Suspension, a Violation.
Woods was released on $3,000 Personal Recognizance Bail and Martin was released on $1,000 P.R. Bail. Both are due to appear on March 19, 2018 at the NH 2nd Circuit Court, Lebanon District Division. Officer Winslow suffered a minor hand injury during the incident. She was treated and released at the scene.
