On December 29, 2016, at 2143 hours the Lebanon Fire Department received a direct call to Station 1 reporting a leaking propane tank at the Rivermill Complex on Mechanic Street. Lebanon Engine 2 responded and upon arrival reported a 1000-gallon propane tank leaking from the main valve under the dome cover.
Witnesses stated that a snow removal company hit the top of the tank with a skid steer loader and broke the valve stem off at the tank. Personnel deployed a hose line and dispersed vapors with a water stream. The incident was declared under control at 2240 hours and personnel remain on scene working with technicians from Irving Fuels to repair the leak.
