On October 30, 2017 at 4:00pm, Lebanon Police and Fire Departments responded to a reported three car motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Heater Road and Old Etna Road. Investigation determined that a vehicle operated by Tabitha Plante of Weare, NH was travelling on Heater Road from Route 120 and failed to stop at the intersection of Heater Road and Old Etna Road. After striking Watson’s vehicle, Plante continued on and struck a second vehicle being operated by Betty Wilson of Enfield, NH who was stopped on the Mount Support Road side of the intersection.
Lebanon Fire Department extracted a young male from one of the vehicles as his foot was lodged under a seat during the collision. The male and his mother were both taken to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for treatment. Wilson was also treated at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and released.
Tabitha Plante was issued a summons for the Stop Sign violation.
While Lebanon Police were investigating the collision and attempting to clear the scene, a tow truck driver was threatened while removing one of the vehicles.
This led to the arrest of Jared Plante, age 21, of Weare, NH on charges of Criminal Threatening, a Class A misdemeanor and Disorderly Conduct, a violation level offense. He was released on $2,500 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to appear in Lebanon District Division, New Hampshire Second Circuit Court on December 18, 2017.
