The Lebanon Police Department has been conducting investigations through social media providers, targeting individuals who were looking to victimize children.
Lebanon Police Department investigators subsequently engaged in a conversation via social media with a male who was later identified as: Erik Polson, age 72, of Chelsea, Vermont.
On 8/10/17 Mr. Polson traveled to Lebanon to meet with, whom he thought was, an adult and juvenile for the purpose of sexual contact. Instead, he was approached by Lebanon Police Officers.
Erik Polson was arrested at the scene and charged with Conspiracy to Commit Trafficking in Persons, a Class A Felony and Conspiracy to Commit Certain Use of Computer Services Prohibited, a Class B Felony. Polson’s bail was set at $20,000 cash and he was transported to the Grafton County House of Corrections.
The Lebanon Police Department is an affiliate of the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (NHICAC).
