On August 8, 2017, the Lebanon City Council unanimously approved a resolution in support of the Paris Climate Agreement. The Lebanon Energy Advisory Committee (LEAC) has been actively working to implement the energy chapter of the Master Plan.
The City Council also gave unanimous final approval to the creation of the position of Energy and Facilities Manager. The position is expected to help the City and taxpayers save money over time through increased energy efficiency and help provide some new revenue to the City through the development of renewable electric generation on City sites.
