Don't Trash Your Pumpkin, Compost It!

The candy has been eaten, and the kids’ costumes have been put away, but what about that rotten pumpkin out front?

Pumpkins can easily be composted in a backyard compost bin. They can also be taken to the Lebanon Solid Waste Facility and put in with leaves and yard waste and we will compost it for you, free of charge.

Please remove any candles or other lighting devices if you bring your pumpkin to our facility

Please also be aware that you must have a Residential Solid Waste Permit to dispose of trash and recycle at the Lebanon Solid Waste Facility. You can get your permit by applying online at LebanonNH.gov/SolidWastePermits.

For more information about how to recycle or dispose of your unwanted items, please visit our What Goes Where page.
