Veterans Day

The following contains information pertaining to citywide closures, parades, activities, displays, and resources relating to Veterans Day in Lebanon, NH.

Citywide Closures

City Hall is closed on Fridays. Please be advised Lebanon Libraries, and all other City offices will be closed on Friday, November 10, 2023, in observance of Veterans Day. Lebanon Libraries will also be closed on Saturday, November 11, 2023.  

The Lebanon Solid Waste & Recycling Facility will be OPEN regular hours. 

Veterans Day Parade and Ceremonies

The following events celebrating Veterans Day, November 11, 2023, are sponsored by the American Legion Guyer-Carignan Post 22. View their website for complete details and location information. 

Free breakfast from 7:00am to 10:00am for Veterans at the American Legion Guyer/Carignan Post 22 (189 Mechanic Street, Lebanon)

A Veterans Day parade will begin at 11:00am at the CCBA  and end in Colburn Park with a ceremony following the parade in Colburn Park. 

A free luncheon follows at the American Legion Post (must be 21 or older to attend). 

Displays, Information, & Resources

Lebanon Libraries Slideshow: We invite you to take a moment to view our online photo presentation compiled to honor our Lebanon veterans. If you would like to include family or friends in the slideshow, please submit your scanned photos by email to, indicating the name of the person and the branch of the military in which he or she served. The photos will be added as they are received. Thank you for helping to carry on this tradition. 

Lebanon Honors Its Veterans page is dedicated to the sincere, heartfelt appreciation of all Lebanon veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice to enable their fellow residents and citizens to continue to enjoy life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. The Soldiers Memorial Building will be open from 9:00am to 2:00pm on Saturday, November 11, 2023. 

Veterans Resources - Information regarding an array of services available to Veterans, including medical care, social services, rental and utility assistance, emergency housing, and more. 

Veterans Tax Credit - The Optional Veterans Tax Credit and All Veterans' Tax Credit are programs for Lebanon's veterans and/or their spouses. The tax credit reduces the total tax owed by the credit amount. Other tax credits and exemption programs exist for veterans with permanent and total disabilities, for surviving spouses of residents killed in action, and for paraplegic or quadriplegic veterans.
