[ARCHIVED] Advance Transit Introduces Rider Resources

Advance Transit bus at City Hall

The City of Lebanon Human Services Department is excited to share some important updates from Advance Transit (AT), a free transit service in the Upper Valley. Whether you are a regular bus rider or new to public transportation, Advance Transit has some helpful information to make your commuting experience even better.

If you are new to taking the bus or want to improve your bus-riding skills, check out AT's "How to Ride" brochure. It gives you tips on planning your trip, getting on and off the bus, making transfers, and using bike racks. This resource is perfect for new or inexperienced riders. You can find these brochures at AT's Van Chesnut Transit Operations Center, on AT buses, and at places like healthcare centers, senior centers, and libraries, and soon at the Lebanon Human Services Department at 24 Hanover Street, Suite 9, in Lebanon.

Additionally, AT has created a series of informative "How to Ride" videos to help you with different aspects of bus travel, covering topics like "Planning a Trip," "Boarding and Exiting the Bus," "Making a Transfer," and "Using the Bike Rack." These videos are designed to make your bus journey even more straightforward and enjoyable.

In addition to these resources, AT will also share more materials in the coming year, including an activity sheet for kids to learn about public transportation and further videos that show different bus stops and the advantages of public transit.

The City of Lebanon expresses its sincere appreciation to AT for their essential transportation services, benefitting both our local residents and the wider community. We are confident that these AT resources will significantly improve your transit experience, adding to your convenience and enjoyment.
