On July 13, Lebanon Officers responded to a shoplifting call from a K-Mart Loss Prevention Officer reporting a female shoplifter had exited the store and jumped into the back of a black sedan, which fled the scene.
Officers were in the area, located the vehicle as it was leaving the K-Mart Plaza and conducted a traffic stop on Route 12A. The female was found in the back seat of the car. She was identified as Carmel Parker of Brattleboro, Vermont.
Parker was charged with Class B Felony Theft based on a number of prior Misdemeanor A Theft Convictions. Parker was also found to have an active warrant out of Keene District Court for failing to appear on a theft charge. Parker refused the services of a Bail Commissioner and was transported to the Grafton County House of Corrections.
