[ARCHIVED] Crime Line Tips Lead to Burglary Arrest

In the early morning hours of June 3, 2017, Lebanon Police responded to an alarm at Twin State Coins & Treasures located on Plainfield Road.  Responding officers found the window of the front door had been broken in an attempt to gain entry.  Approximately two hours later, Lebanon Police responded to an alarm at Salt hill Pub West Lebanon located across the parking lot from Twin State Coins & Treasures.  The responding officers located an unlocked door and upon searching the interior of the building it was determined that entry had been made by an unknown person and a quantity of cash had been taken.  Investigation also revealed that the CCTV/DVR recording system had been removed from the business.

Later in the morning, the video system was discovered by an alert business owner outside of their store and it was turned over to the Lebanon Police.  Officers were able to access the video system and retrieve video surveillance of an unknown male in the area of Twin State Coins & Treasures just prior to the alarm being received. The video also captured the same unknown male a short time later inside of Salt hill Pub West Lebanon, and it showed the male disconnecting the video system inside the building.

AltTextLebanon Police released still photographs of the unknown male and with the assistance of the public and the newly established anonymous crime line (603-448-CLUE) were able to identify the male subject as Nathan Kennett, age 27, of Claremont, New Hampshire.

On June 7, 2017, Lebanon Police, with the assistance of the Claremont Police Department, arrested Nathan Kennett.  He is charged with Attempted Burglary, Burglary and Falsifying Physical Evidence, all Class B Felonies.  He is also charged with Criminal Mischief, a Class A misdemeanor.  Bail was set in the amount of $10,000 cash and Kennett will be arraigned at the Grafton County Superior Court on June 8, 2017.
