Dog licenses for 2017 were due on April 30, 2017 and the month of May served as a grace period for those who were not able to have their dogs licensed in April. As a courtesy, reminder letters were sent in March and again in May, to encourage owners to license their dogs by the deadline. If you did not license your dog by May 31st, please be aware that beginning June 1st, each unlicensed dog will be assessed with a $25.00 Civil Forfeiture fine as well as a $1.00 per month late fee, in addition to standard licensing fees.
Letters notifying those owners were mailed at the end of the business day on May 31st. If you receive a Civil Forfeiture letter, please verify the information regarding your dog’s name, license type and rabies vaccination information. If the rabies vaccination listed on the letter is expired, we will need to see proof of the current rabies vaccination prior to licensing.
Please notify our office if you have moved from Lebanon or if you no longer have your dog, so we can adjust our records.
