On Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at approximately 4:31 PM, the Lebanon Police Department responded to Village Lane Apartments in West Lebanon for a reported assault. It was reported a male who committed the assault had fled the scene.
The investigation determined that Jeremy Guerin, age 42, from White River Junction, VT, approached a gathering of people while shouting obscenities at them. Several of the people provided statements that Guerin had brandished a knife towards them, and at one point approached a female with the knife in his hand. A male subject stepped in to defend the female, at which time Guerin shoved the two of them to the ground. When he learned that other witnesses were calling the police he fled from the scene.
The female suffered minor injuries from the assault and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
An arrest warrant was issued, charging Guerin for Criminal Threatening with a Deadly Weapon, a Class B Felony, Assault, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Disorderly Conduct, a Class B Misdemeanor. He was located in West Lebanon on Friday, October 21, 2022, and taken into custody. Guerin was released on Personal Recognizance bail and will appear in Grafton County Superior Court on November 17, 2022.
