Vermont Man Arrested After Stealing a Shuttle Bus

On June 8, 2022, at approximately 7:00 PM, the Lebanon Police Department responded to the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center to investigate a theft of a Dartmouth shuttle bus that was parked outside of the Emergency Department. 

The theft suspect was identified as Mitchell Horton, age 34, from Cavendish, VT. Surrounding agencies were informed of the theft. The shuttle bus was located on Interstate 91 in Vermont and Vermont authorities attempted to stop the bus unsuccessfully. A short time later, the bus was found abandoned. Horton was then located and taken into custody shortly afterwards. He was arrested and charged by authorities in Vermont. 

The Lebanon Police obtained an arrest warrant, Theft by Unauthorized Taking, a Class A Felony. Horton was arrested and released on personal recognizance bail. He will appear in the Grafton County Superior Court on June 23, 2022.
