[ARCHIVED] Property Tax Updates

News from the Lebanon City Clerk's Office

July Tax Bill

July Property Tax Bills have been mailed and will be due on July 13, 2022.

Our online billing platform has changed (see below) therefore Property Tax Bills can no longer be paid through Invoice Cloud. On the City Clerk's website, you can access the new program by selecting the red button that says "Property Taxes." Once you locate your account, you can view your bill by selecting the small magnifying glass next to the invoice number. In the box that appears, select "View Invoice."

Please be advised that we are experiencing a shortage of staff at the moment and you may experience a line. If you do not wish to wait in line pay, please consider leaving your payment in the green drop box just outside the side entrance to City Hall. You can also mail your payment or pay online.

New Software

On April 18, 2022, the City Clerk & Tax Collector’s office changed software providers for Property Taxes, including the platform we utilize for online payments. The new online property tax platform (EB2Gov) is a component of the new software (FundWorks) which we have begun using in our office. You may already be familiar with EB2Gov – the City currently utilizes EB2Gov for online dog licensing and vital record requests; we also recently began using this platform in October 2021 for motor vehicle renewals.

Any payments you may have prescheduled in Invoice Cloud will not be processed or accepted. You will need to use the new system, pay by mail or come in person.

If you plan to pay your tax bill online, please be advised that the convenience fees have changed. As a reminder, the City does not collect this convenience fee; it is paid directly by the customer to the payment processing center at the time of transaction. We are unable to waive processing fees.

The convenience fees for online payments are as follows:

  • Debit/Credit Card Convenience Fee of 2.79%, with $1.50 minimum charge. (This was previously 2.95%)
  • Online ACH Convenience Fee of $0.95. (This was previously free)
  • Online Per Shopping Cart Fee of $0.95 (This was previously free)

If you visit our office for an in-person payment, please note that the Debit/Credit Card fee for over-the-counter transactions has not changed; there is still a convenience fee of 2.79%, with a $1.50 minimum charge. As a reminder, cash or check are also accepted at no additional charge.

Tax Payment History – Online Portal

In switching software, customers will no longer be able to view their past property tax bills (2021 and back). Unfortunately, it was not possible to carry that history forward. You may still be able to view it on the Invoice Cloud platform. However, if you cannot or if you require a copy of a previous tax bill, you can contact our office at 603-448-3054 or cityclerk@lebanonnh.gov. We apologize for this inconvenience.
