[ARCHIVED] Lebanon ArtWays Poetry Contest

LebArtWay Poetry Newsflash

Calling all poets!

Do you live, work, or play in the City of Lebanon? Do you want to leave a lasting impression in the Lebanon community? Lebanon ArtWays invites you to submit your poems to the Lebanon ArtWays sidewalk poetry contest. Judges will select the top poems, which will be stamped in sidewalks in the community.

  • Poems should be a maximum of 275 characters including spaces. Poems will be broken into lines to fit on the selected sidewalk spaces (estimated around 30 characters, including spaces, per line) if they are not already.
  • Each person may submit a maximum of 2 poems.
  • Poems should be appropriate for a general audience as they will be seen by a range of people and will be presented by the City of Lebanon and Lebanon ArtWays.
  • To submit poetry, please complete the form at bit.ly/lebartwayspoetrycontest. Poems may be submitted in any language, but the literal English translation must also be provided if the poem is not in English. All poems must be typed. Poems will be accepted through June 30, 2022, by 11:59 PM EST. and will be judged starting in July.

By submitting poetry to this project, you consent to provide a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to the City of Lebanon and Lebanon ArtWays to display your poem in concrete sidewalks and any medium it deems effective to promote and share the former. This just means we can share it on social media and photos of the City!

Please direct additional questions to Kristine.Flythe@LebanonNH.gov.
