On June 13, 2021, at approximately 6:11 PM, the Lebanon Police Department received a report from the Exit 18 truck stop Jiffy Mart regarding a woman who had stolen merchandise from the store.
Upon Lebanon Police Officers’ arrival, the woman was located outside of the store and was identified as Emily Milano, age 29, of Commerce City, CO.
Officers attempted to take Milano into custody and she began to physically resist arrest. As Milano resisted, she appeared to be reaching for a knife she had on her person. An Officer deployed a Taser on Milano and she was taken into custody without further incident. Milano was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine.
Milano was charged with Controlled Drug Acts Prohibited, a Class B Felony; Receiving Stolen Property, a Class A Misdemeanor; Theft, a Class A Misdemeanor; and Resisting Arrest/Detention, a Class A Misdemeanor. Milano was released on bail, pending Grafton County Superior Court arraignment on June 28, 2021.
