[ARCHIVED] Board & Committee Members Needed!

Be A Voice in Your Community banner

Would you like to make a meaningful contribution to the community? Boards and Committees are an important part of our local government and help weave the fabric of our beautiful City. Their success is entirely reliant upon the selfless dedication of our volunteers along with the support of City staff.

West Lebanon Revitalization Advisory Committee

Currently, we are seeking four regular members, two of which are residents of Ward 1 and two of which are business owners of businesses located in Ward 1. We are also seeking three alternate members that can either be residents of Ward 1 or owners of businesses in Ward 1.

The purpose of the West Lebanon Revitalization Advisory Committee is to work with the City's Administration to develop and implement plans for the revitalization and redevelopment of the Central Business District area of West Lebanon. Do you have a vision for West Lebanon? Please apply online.

Please contact the Planning & Development Department for further information.

Board of Assessors

Currently, we are seeking one regular member and one alternate member to serve on the Board of Assessors.

The Board of Assessors is the decision-making authority for all real property assessments in the City. They ensure equitable, defensible assessments for all taxpayers in Lebanon, including decisions on property tax abatement requests, exemptions, and changes to property values. The Board meets as needed and conducts business regularly, therefore a full roster is needed for optimal efficiency. Does this interest you? Please apply online

Please contact the Assessing Office for further information.

Downtown Lebanon TIF Advisory Board

Currently, we are seeking one Property Owner/Occupant within the district and two Citizen representatives who do not own or occupy real property within or adjacent to the district to serve on the Downtown Lebanon TIF Advisory Board

The Downtown Lebanon TIF Advisory Board was established for the purpose of advising the City Council on the policies and actions for the administration of the district related to planning, construction, and implementation of the TIF program, and on the maintenance and operation of the district after the program has been completed. Are you interested in helping to shape our Downtown? Please apply online

Please contact the City Manager's Office for further information.

Heritage Commission

Currently, we are seeking one regular member and three alternate members to serve on the Heritage Commission.

The Heritage Commission is responsible for the proper recognition, use, and protection of resources, tangible or intangible, primarily man-made, that are valued for their historic, cultural, aesthetic, or community significance. Do you love history and want to help preserve the charm of our beautiful City? Please apply online

Please contact the Planning & Development Department for further information.

Alternate Positions on Other Boards and Committees

There are also alternate member positions available on several other Boards and Committees. Alternate members step in when there is not a quorum of regular members present for a meeting, which helps ensure that business continues uninterrupted. Being an alternate member is a great way to start volunteering. And, when a regular member steps down from a Board or Committee, alternate members are given preference to fill the vacancies.

Are you interested in serving on one of these Boards or Commissions? Please apply online.
