[ARCHIVED] Recyclable? What those little numbers don't tell you.

Recycle Right - hands holding plastic bottles in the air

Have you ever taken your recycling bin to the landfill with the hope that what was in your bin was truly recyclable? If you answered yes, you are not alone. Many people struggle with understanding which items are recyclable at the Lebanon Landfill and the recycling numbering system can add to the confusion.

In an effort to educate the public on recycling at the Lebanon Recycling Center, Solid Waste Manager Marc Morgan recently gave a special presentation for the Upper Valley Democrats titled, “Recyclable? Theoretically. What those tiny numbers don’t tell you.” During his presentation he explains how to identify plastics that can be recycled at the Lebanon Landfill and other tips for recycling correctly.

Watch the recorded presentation, provided by the Upper Valley Democrats, to learn more about what is accepted at the Lebanon Recycling Center.
