The Lebanon Police Department Cyber Crimes Unit has been conducting a pro-active investigation through a social media provider, involving an individual attempting to target children who reside in Lebanon.
Lebanon Police officers engaged in a conversation via social media with a male who was later identified as: John E. Vadala III, age 53, of Newmarket, NH.
This investigation led to Vadala arriving at a location in Lebanon to meet a person that he thought was a juvenile for sexual acts on July 7, 2020.
Vadala was taken into custody and charged with Certain Uses of Computer Services Prohibited, Attempted Felonious Sexual Assault, Attempted Endangering Welfare of a Child, all Class B Felonies, and Attempted Sexual Assault, a Class A Misdemeanor. Vadala was held in preventative detention and transported to the Grafton County House of Corrections pending arraignment in the Grafton County Superior Court.
