[ARCHIVED] It's Time to License Your Dog!

Spring is here and that means it’s time to license your dogs for the 2017 dog licensing year! Dog licenses are due by April 30, 2017. Reminder letters will be sent by the end of March to all Lebanon Dog owners.

For your convenience, dog licensing can be done through the mail with a check made payable to the City of Lebanon. At the bottom of your letter, you will see a total amount due. But before you write your check, please take a few moments to review your letter and ensure that the following information is correct:

Rabies Vaccination: Is the date of the rabies vaccination listed on your letter expired? If so, we will require a copy of an updated rabies certificate to license. Rabies vaccinations are required per NH Law RSA 466:1-a. In March and April, low cost rabies clinics are available in our area. (Please see “Additional Information” below.)

License Type: If your dog has been fixed since the last time your dog was licensed, we will need a spay or neuter certificate from your vet. (If the rabies vaccination certificate shows the gender of the dog as spayed or neutered, we can accept that in lieu of the spay or neuter certificate.) This will lower your fee from $10 (for an unaltered “Male/Female” dog) to $7.50 (for an altered “Neutered/Spayed” dog.) If your rate is to be reduced, please be sure to adjust your total amount due accordingly.

Dog or Owner Information: Do we need to correct your dog’s breed or name? Has your name or address changed? Please make a note on your letter when you return it with your payment and we will make the correction.

Did you move out of Lebanon? Do you no longer have your dog?  Please let us know immediately and we will update our records. You can call us during regular business hours at 603-448-3054 or send an email to cityclerk@lebcity.com.

Remember, if you have any questions regarding the letter, the correct amount due or to check to see if you need to send any documents, please contact us and we will be more than happy to assist you.
