On April 4, 2020, two Lebanon Police Officers were on bike patrol in the plaza parking lot at 285 Plainfield Road. At approximately 10:20 AM, the officers observed a female subject walking in the lot who had an active Arrest Warrant/Capias. Officer approached the female, identified as Angela Therrien, age 24, of Lebanon, NH, in an effort to take her into custody.
As the officers approached Therrien, she attempted to flee on foot. As she fled, Therrien attempted to place drugs into her mouth in an attempt to hide or destroy them. During the struggle, Therrien bit the finger of one of the officers, causing a minor injury.
Therrien was taken into custody and charged with Simple Assault on a Police Officer, a Class A Misdemeanor, Resisting Arrest or Detention, a Class B Misdemeanor, along with Possession of a Controlled Drug and Falsification of Physical Evidence, all Class B Felony charges. Heroin, along with other prescription drugs, were recovered from Therrien. Therrien refused the services of a Bail Commissioner and was scheduled to be arraigned on April 6, 2020 in the Grafton County Superior Court. The officer who was bitten received minor injuries and was treated and released at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
