[ARCHIVED] Stairway Closure due to Tunnel Construction

Lower Taylor St. Stairs Closed during Tunnel Construction

As of Monday, February 3, 2020, due to the construction of the improvements to the downtown tunnel, the stairs from the lower Taylor Street parking lot up to the western end of the Mall (rear & side entrance to Village Pizza) will be closed to the public. Alternative pedestrian routes will be via the staircase from the lower lot to the upper lot (behind 1 Court Street) or the sidewalk adjacent to the river along the Taylor Street parking lot.

A traffic movement plan (vehicular and pedestrian) to better depict planned travel routes will be made available as soon as possible.

We recognize this will be an inconvenience for many that work on or adjacent to the Mall, and for some longer-visiting patrons to local businesses. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to complete the tunnel reconstruction project. More details about the tunnel project can be found at LebanonNH.gov/Tunnel.
