Welcoming Lebanon Ordinance

Welcoming Lebanon Ordinance

The ballot for this year’s municipal election (March 10, 2020) will contain a question regarding the enactment of a “Welcoming Lebanon Ordinance.”

The Welcoming Lebanon Ordinance is the subject of a Citizens’ Binding Initiative Petition that was submitted in October 2019 and reviewed by the City Council at a public hearing on January 22, 2020.

Should Lebanon voters decide to pass this initiative, it would take effect on January 1, 2021. The City Council urges registered voters to carefully review the proposed ordinance and associated information to better understand how the ordinance will impact the City of Lebanon.

Information about the proposed ordinance and the process of a Citizens’ Binding Initiative can be found at LebanonNH.gov/WelcomingLebanon.
