On March 6, Kohl’s Loss Prevention reported two female shoplifters had fled from the store with approximately $100 of merchandise. Kohl’s Loss Prevention provided Lebanon Police with a vehicle description including the registration. Lebanon Officers found the vehicle, unoccupied, a short time later in the Wal-Mart parking lot in West Lebanon. Clothing matching the stolen items from Kohl’s was observed on the back seat of the vehicle.
During the investigation, officers located one of the females inside of Wal-Mart, identified as Tiffany Vanvalzah, age 29, of Lebanon. While attempting to arrest Vanvalzah, she resisted and attempted to pull away from officers. She was charged with Class A Misdemeanor counts of Receiving Stolen Property and Resisting Arrest.
Vanvalzah was unable to post the $1,000 cash bail and was transported to the Grafton County House of Corrections. She was arraigned in Lebanon District Division, New Hampshire Second Circuit Court on March 7, 2017.
The other woman was identified as Jennifer Trowbridge, age 30, last known to be living on Church Street in Lebanon. Trowbridge had left prior to police arrival and currently has an outstanding warrant for her arrest for Theft by Unauthorized Taking, a Class A Misdemeanor.
