Building Fire - 21 Gilson Road West Lebanon

On July 15, 2019 at 1131 hours, the Lebanon Fire Department was dispatched to 21 Gilson Road, West Lebanon for a report of smoke coming from 2nd-floor windows. Upon arrival of Hanover Tower 1, units reported light smoke visible from the front of a 2-story residence. Personnel entered the 1st floor and found a small fire involving some furnishings. Additional personnel searched the 1st and 2nd floor to ensure there were no occupants. The fire was declared under control at 1151 hours by Chief Christopoulos.

The building suffered moderate fire damage on the 1st floor with significant smoke damages on the 1st and 2nd floors. There were no injuries. Contact was made with the homeowners who indicated they were out of town and on their way back.

Lebanon units were assisted on scene by Hanover, Hartford, and Norwich Fire Departments. Enfield Fire and Canaan Ambulance also provided coverage in the City.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by Lebanon Fire and Police Departments as well as the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office but is not considered suspicious.
