The City of Lebanon has selected ReVision Energy of Concord, NH for Phase One of its solar project. ReVision Energy was selected after a long and thorough review of six submitted proposals. The proposal review team consisted of Lebanon Energy Advisory Committee members Greg Ames and Jon Chaffee, Assistant Mayor Clifton Below, Public Works Director James Donison, Assistant Public Works Director Jay Cairelli, Energy and Facilities Manager Tad Montgomery, and former Assistant Public Works Director Wayne Leonard.

Eight sites have been selected for solar photovoltaic arrays including City Hall, Kilton Library, the wastewater treatment plant, landfill recycling building and maintenance garage, and the Department of Public Works administration building and maintenance garage on Route 4.

Should the project be approved as proposed, the total size will be 831 kilowatts DC (746 kilowatts AC), which has the potential to save roughly $12,000 per year for the first five years, and $5,000,000 over 40 years; offsetting roughly one-fifth of the City’s total electricity usage.

A presentation is scheduled at the City Council meeting on May 15, 2019. Construction would begin this summer.
