Duplicate Registrations


To purchase a duplicate registration, you must be listed as an owner on the registration, or in the case of a business, you must be an authorized signer for the business. You will be asked to present a photo ID. The total cost for a duplicate registration is $19. Please note that you must know the plate number and the year make and model of your vehicle when you visit our office. View and download the Application for Copy of Registration (PDF).

Replacement Decals


Decals are the "year" sticker on your license plates. To purchase duplicate decals, you must be listed as an owner on the registration, or in the case of a business, you must be an authorized signer for the business. You will be asked to present the current registration for the vehicle as it will be exchanged for a new registration as well as photo ID. If you do not have the registration, you must purchase a duplicate registration. The total cost for replacement decals is $5. View the Application For Replacement Plates and Decals (PDF).

Replacement Plates


License plates may be replaced if one or both have been lost, damaged or stolen. You may replace your plates with your current number (unless it was stolen) or you may obtain a new plate number. To purchase replacement plates, you must be listed as an owner on the registration, or in the case of a business, you must be an authorized signer for the business. You will be asked to present the current registration for the vehicle as it will be exchanged for a new registration, as well as your photo ID. If you do not have the registration, you must purchase a duplicate registration. If your plates were damaged, you will need to surrender the damaged plate at the time of the transaction. The cost to replace one plate is $8 and the cost to replace both plates is $12. Replacement decals are included in those prices. View the Application For Replacement Plates and Decals (PDF).

Duplicate Title


If you have lost the title for your vehicle, you must apply for a duplicate title directly through the State of New Hampshire Title Bureau. Please note, we do not process duplicate title applications in our office but we do have applications available here for your convenience.
