Lebanon Master Plan
The City’s Master Plan was adopted on March 26, 2012 as “a comprehensive plan to implement the community vision for 2030.” While implementation efforts continue across various chapters and are led by various boards, committees, and City departments, it is time to review and update the Plan to track efforts and resources and to document progress and achievements over the last 10 years.
In 2022, the Planning & Development Department is initiating a process to review and update the overall Master Plan on a chapter-by-chapter basis over the next 3-4 years. The Department intends to work with existing boards and committees whenever possible to review and update individual chapters of the Master Plan. Where there is an existing board or committee whose purpose and charge aligns with a particular chapter of the Master Plan, the Department believes that board or committee is most knowledgeable and best positioned to serve as the “champion” for reviewing and updating the chapter and to continue monitoring implementation and tracking progress into the future. For those chapters that do not align with an existing board or committee, the Department will create a working group or task force to assist with the review and update process.
