Baker's Crossing Conservation Area

Location and Description

Easy, flat trail along floodplain meadow and Mascoma River. Parking is on Hardy Hill Road just east of covered bridge. For the Northern Rail Trail, please park on Riverside Drive, across and 0.25 miles east of covered bridge.


Views of the Mascoma Shoreline, Packard Hill Covered Bridge, and Blodgett Brook. Wildlife include beaver, meadow birds, waterfowl, and wildflowers.


In 2003, Lebanon Rotary Club and City of Lebanon created parking area, gravel path, history plaque, stone wall, planted trees and shrubs, and installed picnic tables built by Eagle Scout Ben Stebbins. Parcel purchased from Slack farm in 1992 with federal and municipal funds.
