Mascoma Street Bridge Reconstruction Project

General Information

This project involves the Mascoma Street Bridge (base of Benton Hill) that will consist of a full deck replacement (including new steel girders). Construction is scheduled to take place over the summer (2016). Plans for construction are currently being finalized and public input is being solicited (see Community Conversation notice).

Streets Involved

Mascoma Street will be the main street involved.

Limited Traffic

During the construction period, traffic is proposed to be limited to one-way travel between the High Street Intersection (head up Benton Hill) to Colburn Park; and on High Street between Hanover Street and Mechanic Street.

Bridge Parking

During the duration of construction, the bridge will be open to pedestrian traffic but parking along the bridge will be discontinued.
