General Information
- When and where does the farmers' market take place?
- The 2023 market season runs from May 18th - September 28th. Markets are from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday afternoons.
- The Lebanon Farmers Market takes place in Colburn Park in the center of historic downtown Lebanon, NH. The address for your GPS is 51 N Park St, Lebanon NH 03766.
- Where can I park?
- Downtown Lebanon features ample FREE parking! You may park in spaces directly surrounding Colburn Park (time limits may apply - please see posted signage), or take advantage of all-day parking spaces in the municipal parking lot located behind City Hall.
- It looks like it might rain... is the market still going to happen?
- It sure is! The Lebanon Farmers Market is a RAIN or SHINE market, which means that vendors, community organizations, and musicians perform in all types of weather. Please be prepared to join us in any weather condition. We'll be happy to have you join us in the park!
- Can I bring my dog?
- Absolutely! Our market is located in a public park, and we are pet-friendly. Here are a few things to know about bringing pets to the farmers market:
- Our market is very busy! If your pet is nervous, or reactive you should know that you will encounter lots of adults and children (including strollers and toddlers on tethers!), live music, and other animals. We've seen cats, rabbits, hamsters, snakes, bearded dragons, and exotic birds visit the market!
- People with pets are expected to clean up and appropriately dispose of pet waste immediately.
- All pets must be leashed, or otherwise appropriately contained for their safety, and the safety of others.
- Absolutely! Our market is located in a public park, and we are pet-friendly. Here are a few things to know about bringing pets to the farmers market:
- Can I use my SNAP/EBT benefits at the farmers market?
- Absolutely! Please look for the SNAP/EBT signs at the tent near the fountain in the center of Colburn Park. You’ll be able to swipe your card there and receive market money that will let you shop with vendors. Please see the explanation of SNAP eligible products on the USDA SNAP page or the NH SNAP page. SNAP can be used to purchase seeds and plants that will produce food, so don’t miss out on vegetable starts during the early weeks of the market season!
Questions About Participation (Vendors, Musicians, & Community Organizations)
- Can I sell (fill in the blank) at the farmers market?
- The Lebanon Farmers Market is a producer market, which means that vendors are growing, making, and crafting the items that they sell. Please read our 2023 Market Rules and Regulations (PDF), and contact the market manager directly if you have specific questions.
- What type of insurance do I need to be a vendor at the market?
- All vendors at the farmers market are required to carry product liability insurance and to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) with the City of Lebanon named as the additionally insured. You can request this from your insurance agent.
- If you do not currently have insurance for your farm or business, you can inquire with your insurance provider where you have coverage for your vehicle, rental, or home. There are also event-based policies that some vendors choose to use.
