Project Overview
What is the scope of this project?
The Lahaye Drive | Mt. Support Road project consists of intersection reconstruction/improvements, drainage infrastructure reconstruction, signalization review, and reconstruction, permitting, and bike/pedestrian accommodations consisting of a potential to extend a 10-foot-wide bike/ped lane north along Mt. Support Road. The current intersection has been determined to provide a “low level of service”, meaning that it is not functioning well during hours of high traffic volume. The intent of this project is to improve the intersection functionality. The project is currently in the preliminary engineering phase, with final plans due June 2023, at which time construction bidding may begin. Funding for the project will be, in part, via a recently established Special Assessment District in which nearby landowners participate in the project costs.
The Lahaye Drive Path proposed project consists of a 10-foot wide multi-use path along the North side of Lahaye Drive, connecting the Mt. Support Road multi-use path to the sidewalk on NH Route 120. The City of Lebanon’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation Plan shows this proposed multi-use path along this section of the Lahaye Drive corridor to be a significant link within this network corridor, helping to connect Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Centerra Business Park, and Altaria Business Park. For more information on this project, please visit the Transportation Alternative Program (TAP) Lahaye Drive Path Project page.
How long is this going to take?
The Lahaye Drive | Mt. Support Road project construction is expected to begin in the Spring of 2024 and will continue through the Spring of 2025, with a possible winter shutdown. Please note that this schedule is dependent upon many factors and is subject to change.
The Lahaye Drive Path proposed project timeframe is to be determined.
