Overview

Come experience the great sport of Mountain Biking on the Landmark trails! Beginner to expert trail riders are welcome. We will go over bike skills, games, and trail riding with skilled local mountain bikers. We will also cover basic bike repair, trail etiquette, bike safety, leave no trace, personal safety, and group safety. The fee includes sessions, a dry-wicking t-shirt, and a water bottle.

Grades: 1st through 8th Grade

Registration

  • Green Pre-Requisites: A rider can ride a bike with gears and hand brakes.
  • A rider has some experience riding their bike on paved or dirt roads.
  • A rider is open to trying new skills and trails.

Blue Pre-Requisites:

  • A rider is confident with the Green skills.
  • A rider is comfortable with basic mountain bike skills (i.e. standing with level pedals, and understanding when to shift and brake).
  • A rider can ride up small hills, and go over bridges and wooden structures.
  • A rider is open to trying new skills and trails.

Black Pre-Requisites: 

  • A rider is confident with the Green and Blue skills.
  • A rider can climb for an extended period and can go downhill safely.
  • A rider can maneuver the bike around and over various obstacles such as rock rolls, bridges, and steep descents.
  • A rider can lift the front wheel off the ground.
  • A rider is open to trying new skills and trails.

Recommended Bicycle:

  • A geared bicycle with hand brakes that pinch the rims of the wheels or have disk brakes
  • Minimum wheel size of 20 inches
